Tell Senator Dean Heller and the Senate: Do Your Job

Senators Chuck Grassley and Mitch McConnell are holding the judicial branch of our government hostage, and on Day 99 of this obstructionism, millions of families were left in limbo.

Americans want and deserve to have a fully-staffed Supreme Court. There is too much at stake for the Court to be held hostage by GOP Senators refusing to do their job and hold hearings for a Supreme Court nominee.

The Supreme Court's 4-4 split on United States v. Texas has left immigrant families in limbo and living in fear.

Senator Dean Heller ought to be ashamed of his party's obstruction that has led to justice delayed for millions of families. It's time to stop playing political games with our justice system and ensure that we have a fully-staffed Supreme Court.

Article II of the Constitution provides that the President “shall have [the] power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate,” to appoint justices to the U.S. Supreme Court. There’s no exception for election years. Senators should do their jobs instead of playing political games and delaying action on a Supreme Court nomination.
